Oval Shaker Boxes made by Masashi Ifuji in Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan. Each hand-crafted, these classic shaker boxes draw on the forms and techniques of 18th-century American Shaker communities. Each oval box is bent and finished by hand and are made to be used individually or gathered over time into a collection of their own.The exterior is treated with natural dyes and oil, while the interior remains unfinished to allow the wood’s natural humidity control. To care for the pieces, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight, which may affect the finish over time.
