Houjicha, a roasted Japanese tea from Rocky’s Matcha, sourced from award-winning, fifth-generation tea farmer Kiyoharu Tsuji in Uji, Japan. Made from the stems and leaves of tencha, the tea is slowly roasted over a charcoal flame at a relatively low temperature, developing a warm, toasty character with notes of sweet nuts, subtle smoke, and a creamy finish. Naturally lower in caffeine than matcha, houjicha makes a comforting cup for the afternoon or evening and can be served hot or cold.
