Handmade by Kyoto-based artist, Kazumi Takigawa, this bag blends natural materials with a distinctive silhouette inspired by the simplicity of a paper bag. Each piece is made from sturdy cotton canvas and colored using organic, plant-based dyes such as coffee, tea, and traditional mordants like aluminum and iron. A waxed finish gives the bag structure while allowing it to gradually soften and develop character with use. To restore its firmness or smooth out fine creases, gently warm it with a hair dryer, then let it cool.
