A small fluted glass with a black sphered stem, hand-blown in opal glass. The checkered pattern on this cup emerges through a rapid temperature shift during molding which creates a soft, milky translucence unique to each piece. Ideal for a sip of cold iced tea or champagne. Made by Hirota Glass, one of the oldest glass manufacturers in Japan which was founded in Tokyo in 1899.
